You’re just about 50% through your pregnancy at 18 weeks pregnant. If you were experiencing morning sickness, it should be just about gone and you’ll be feeling better. At this particular point of your pregnancy you’ll probably be feeling quite energetic.

At this time of pregnancy, most women feel quite good in fact. They are still feeling quite comfortable and are rejoicing in showing off the pregnancy. Your belly should be showing to some extent now and you may need to switch to maternity clothes if you haven’t done so yet.

By 18 weeks pregnant you’ll be experiencing the baby’s movements as small kicks and fluttering movements. As your pregnancy progresses these will be getting stronger. You can use this as experience in making an assessment of your baby’s general wellbeing by the amount of movements you experience.

Eat healthy and don’t stress too much about gaining weight. About ten pounds is what most women will gain by this stage of the pregnancy. The better your food intake selections are, the lower the weight that you gain will be.

Make every calorie count because you are building a person! Take it easy on high sugar content desserts and be sure to eat fruit, vegetables and protein. Be sure to drink enough water to stay well-hydrated, dehydration will cause contractions.

Instead of eating three large meals per day you will find it better to eat several smaller meals each day. You’ll maintain a good blood sugar level without overeating. As the baby grows bigger, this approach works well and also because as your uterus grows, your stomach gets squeezed.

Exercise is important in staying healthy. Simply taking a walking around the neighborhood or local park a few times each week will result in an easier labor and general better feeling than if you don’t do any exercise at all.

You may also become aware that at about 18 weeks pregnant it is harder to be comfortable when sleeping. Experimenting with different positions may be necessary. It may be helpful to use extra pillows or a body pillow made for pregnant women.

Enjoy your pregnancy and your changing body. Pregnancy is only for a short time, so relish it if you can.

Thousands of women of almost every age have completely reversed any infertility issues they had and got pregnant naturally, without drugs, risky surgery or “magic potions” simply by using the clinically proven, scientifically-accurate step by step method found inside this amazing Pregnancy guidebook.

Lisa Olson, a certified nutritionist, health consultant and author has not just pumped out yet another “pregnancy program” into an already over-saturated market. Lisa’s Pregnancy Miracle can be more accurately described as an “Pregnancy Bible.” It is quite simply one of the most comprehensive, complete, and precise guides to infertility freedom you will ever read. What makes it so much different than other pregnancy publications on the market?

Well first of all, it’s not just a “infertility help” program, it’s an infertility cure program. This may seem like semantics or wordplay at first, but once you’ve read just the first chapters, there will be no doubt in your mind that pursuing “help with your pregnancy” is not only the wrong goal, it may be the reason that you’ve failed to get pregnant until now. Pregnancy Miracle shows you exactly why you should fix the internal problem that’s hindering your chances of getting pregnant and then goes on to show you exactly how to do it.

Secondly, what makes Pregnancy Miracle different is the amount of attention that is paid to each and every element required to get pregnant the natural way. Pregnancy Miracle not only thoroughly discusses the lies, myths and fallacies surrounding a very confusing subject, it is simply the most detailed book about pregnancy and infertility, Chinese Medicine and holistic health ever written.

The Pregnancy Miracle book is quite extensive (250 pages of rock solid content) which focuses on 100% natural method for getting pregnant quickly. That means there aren’t recommendations for harsh prescription drugs or surgeries with nasty side effects. In Pregnancy Miracle core formula section (The 3 step system) – Nothing is held back. In this section, Lisa gives a detailed overview of each step, and then dives into the specifics in a perfect chronological order. There are also outstanding charts and checklists which make it very easy to know where you are at in the program and follow it.

Because the Pregnancy Miracle program is not a quick fix ‘fairy tale’ cure but a complete holistic solution aimed at eliminating the root cause of fertility problems(regardless of your age) and ensure your will get pregnant quickly, it does take work and persistence to complete. “The dictionary is the only place success comes before work” says Lisa, as she emphasizes the “no quick fix” philosophy behind the entire book.

If there is any drawback to the Pregnancy Miracle ebook, it’s that it contains so much information, that some readers may find it a bit overwhelming. Those who are looking for a quick start type of pregnancy program, might be a bit intimated at first. The good part however, is that even these types of readers can feel confident and assured that it will be worth the effort because this will literally be the last book they ever have to buy on the subject.

Who will benefit most from Pregnancy Miracle?

In the broadest sense, anyone and everyone who wants to get pregnant naturally and regain their natural inner balance will benefit from Pregnancy Miracle. This ebook is honestly for everyone. Even women without fertility issues. This is a total health rejuvenation program better than 98% of the nutrition and alternative health books on the market. In fact, the advice in this ebook is guaranteed to help you with any other health condition you might have, especially if you suffer from hormonal disorders, digestive problems, insulin related disorders, allergies and acne.

In terms of graphic design, Pregnancy Miracle is a clean and professionally formatted PDF e-book. It is well organized and ideal for printing and reading in the comfort of your own home.

This impressive and unique publication has changed many lives and the hundreds of inspiring testimonials and success stories are found on the Pregnancy Miracle website archives as proof.

The Bottom line?

Anyone looking for a quick fix solution to getting pregnant, anyone looking to be told fairy-tales, and anyone looking for a “magic bullet”, pills, over the counters, ‘get pregnant in 2 weeks’ hyped up programs should not waste his or her time with Pregnancy Miracle.

On the other hand, anyone searching for the truth about pregnancy, fertility issues and alternative health and who is ready and willing to put in some work and make the lifestyle changes necessary to get pregnant fast and give birth to healthy children, will find Pregnancy Miracle to be one of the best investments they ever made in their lives.

For the pregnant mother, seeing the baby grow inside her through pregnant baby pictures is very rewarding since she is able to keep track of her baby’s development. The use of photographs has lasted the a thousand years in documenting events that are special. Photos are keepers of memories you want to last a lifetime that is why the pregnant mother would be gratified of baby pictures inside her womb. From the first four weeks of pregnancy to the last trimester, the mother is able to compare and contrast growth achievement of her baby through this baby pictures.

Fetal development is the greatest worry a pregnant mother could have. Questions in her mind would range from — How does my baby look like? What kind of eyes does she have? Are her legs long like mine? Are her eyes as charming as her father’s? These doubts can be answered through tracking of baby’s growth through ultrasound pictures that show the changes of the baby physically. What happens to the baby during the most crucial weeks of development? Having a pregnancy calendar can be helpful in analyzing whatever is happening inside your womb.

The pregnancy calendar should come with a week by week pregnant baby pictures that will virtually help the would-be mother to understand the changes in her body. All the pains, the setbacks and the fears will be washed away once the baby image is gotten clear with pictures.

What can you see inside your womb during the first month? They say the first trimester is the most crucial moments of pregnancy since all developments happen to the baby that time. The first month of pregnancy will show you how the embryo made up of two layers of cells will develop. There will be clear formation of the fetal development yet the development of embryonic layers is indicators of life inside. On the second month of pregnancy, your baby will be as big as a kidney bean and will indicate movement through webbed fingers. The next nine weeks of pregnancy will show a clearer image of the baby’s fingers who is now about three inches long.

Moreover, as the pregnancy goes on, more significant growth changes occur. The growth of the eyelids, the lungs, and the eyebrows all contribute to the mother’s excitement in seeing pregnant baby pictures. The clarity of images will not only drive the mother to continuously work hard to achieve good health for the baby but will also help her look forward to more wonderful physical and mental changes. The joy of seeing someone grow from a small seed to having arms and legs to becoming a full term baby is a gift to treasure for every woman. Your fetal development will be more securely documented with pregnant baby pictures that vividly wash away all mother’s fears and doubts. These pictures will give you the right updates on the present goings on of the infant inside you. Take one good shot and relive the first joys you had as a mother.

If you are pregnant, you and your partner may have been spending a considerable amount of time debating whether or not you should do prenatal genetic testing. This whole debate frankly can be emotionally charged. Therefore, it is important for you to step back for a moment and to deliberately and calmly consider the pros and cons that are associated with genetic testing.

In this day and age a growing number of people are seeking genetic testing for themselves or their unborn babies. The rise in the number of people who see genetic testing has been accompanied by a rise in the volume of the controversy surrounding genetic testing.

One of the more controversial elements associated with genetic testing involves those individuals that advocate this type of testing in order to identify unborn babies that do have severe genetic defects. The theory is that if these babies can be identified, if babies that have no hope of a so-called “normal existence” can be identified before they are born, the pregnancy can be terminated in order to avoid a great deal of suffering all around. Again, this is a controversial position, a position that is subject to much debate. (In this regard, the term “baby” is used in this article not as a means of suggesting one position or another in this debate. Rather, it is intended merely in the generic term that people utilize in most cases when discussing an embryo or fetus, when discussing a baby yet to be born.)

Because of this particular controversy, there is an active group of people who advocates banning genetic testing. On the other hand, there are plenty of other individuals who are standing firm in support of genetic testing for the benefits that can be derived from the process.

Genetic testing is proving very useful in identifying certain types of conditions and ailments that actually can be corrected before the baby is born. Therefore, genetic testing as a process is playing a role in regard to pregnancy for which few people have any specific disagreement.

In addition, there are many parents who elect to have genetic testing undertaken so that they can be prepared for a baby that might have some sort of serious problem, some sort of serious health or physical issue. These parents do not desire to terminate a pregnancy but rather desire to be well prepared for the birth of a child that will have special needs.

Genetic testing is recommended in situations in which one or another of the parents has a history of genetic issues or defects. It is also recommended in those cases in which the mother is over a certain age. (Many doctors recommend genetic testing for expectant mothers who are over the age of forty or forty-two.)

The debate over genetic testing is expected to continue – rage, really – well into the future. If you are pregnant and considering genetic testing, it is important that you be armed with the facts of the process rather than the heated issues in the debate so that you can make an informed decision.

This way, when your friends and relatives plan to buy your baby a gift, it won’t be that much of a hassle anymore. All that they have to do is go online, select, buy and get the gift delivered to you on time. All the land-based Baby R Us stores allow all purchase returns as an added feature.

Baby R Us also constantly maintains a “Top Seller List” that usually include educational baby equipment, baby books, a pregnant mom’s book, diaper accessories, comfy baby bouncer, play gyms, baby call nursery monitors, a changing pad, monitors with dual receivers, an infant car seat base, baby wraps, toddler rockers, baby swings, nursery care kits, feeding bottle set, etc.

Baby R Us online store also allows browsers to check on different brands of baby products that suit their preferences.
Baby R Us also presents gift ideas to those who want to share some goodies to their little kids, nephews, nieces, granddaughter or grandsons. A gift set is always considered a hit in making parents with their babies smile with appreciation. These are often in baby gift basket forms that contain various items that deal with the parents and baby’s needs. There are also these “Parents Favorite” items and Babies R Us’ basic gift ideas that are never surmounted by novel items. Gift certificates are also available as treats to the parents-to-be. Baby R Us even added “new baby” or “pregnancy” e-card. Along with this e-card, the option of an e-mail or a paper gift certificate is still offered.

Babies R Us online even has this resource center page that includes various buying guides, checklists, articles, advices and other information that will both benefit the parents and the baby.

Pregnancy is a wonderful time in your life. It can also be very taxing and exhausting for your body, mind and spirit at times. But by nourishing your body with these great superfoods, you’ll be energized, strong, and sharp, and ready to welcome your pending bundle of joy healthy and happy.

Beans and legumes are good sources of protein, fiber, calcium, iron, thiamine, and niacin. Make a big batch of beans when you have time and freeze them in small containers. Be careful with canned varieties, as they’re usually higher in sodium and their nutritional value is a bit lower since they’re processed using high temperatures. Soybeans provide more protein than any other bean or legume, making them a staple either the vegan or non-vegan. Soybeans are rich in many nutrients, including calcium and iron.

Include plenty of whole grains like brown rice, quinoa, millet, and oats as they’re a great source of fiber, minerals, protein and B complex vitamins. Buy the least processed grain types you can find, since many of the commercially prepared grains have had the nutritional and beneficial germ and bran removed.

Dark green leafy vegetables like kale, collard greens, watercress, and spinach are especially important while pregnant or lactating because they supply so many vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A and C, calcium, and iron. Dark leafy green vegetables also are rich in phytochemicals like beta carotene and lutein which protect against many forms of cancer. Vegetables from the cabbage family such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cabbage are wonderful sources of vitamin A, vitamin C, and calcium. They are also rich in phytochemicals that have anticancer properties. Dark green leafy vegetables and cabbage family vegetables provide important nutrients that help to promote a plentiful milk supply for your baby.

Nuts and seeds are good sources of fiber, protein, minerals, and essential fatty acids. Be sure to eat flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds and walnuts to get omega-3 fatty acids, which are important for baby’s brain and nervous system development as well as your own health. Nuts and seeds can be eaten raw or toasted, and work great in a salad made of dark leafy green vegetables.

Lastly, it’s important to drink plenty of water, and make sure you’re getting plenty of rest during this time. A well-hydrated, well-rested body recovers more quickly, and ready to take on the challenges that life with a newborn baby brings with it.

Choosing a name is one of the most important things you’ll have to decide on during your pregnancy. Pick a name that your child is going to love, not something he/she will hate or be made fun of. There are a lot of things to consider when naming your child.

Origin

The origin of a name can help you pick out what name you like best, this also adds a piece of history to your child. Giving your son/daughter an Italian name because their great grandfather originally came over from Sicily will mean a lot to the family. Not to mention your child will always know they’re Italian. This doesn’t mean you can only choose names that go with your heritage, there may be a name out there that belongs to your child that isn’t.

The Sound of the Name:

Names can be hard to pronounce sometimes, not just for other people but for your child as well. Don’t choose a name you have a hard enough time saying, imagine how hard it’ll be for your own child to learn. The spelling can also be a cause for concern. Your child must learn how to spell his/her name, you don’t want a name that has over 20 letters long. Do you think you’d be able to learn to spell that in kindergarten? Think about your child first, sure the name might sound great but make sure it isn’t something that is going to be really hard. This doesn’t mean don’t choose a name that is unique, that is what makes your child stand out. But make sure that is what you really want.

Meaning

Meaning can be another factor when choosing a name, learn what that name means before you pick it. You might want something that means something dear to you. My daughter’s name means pure hope, I thought it was a lovely gesture and it sounded beautiful. Think about choosing a positive meaning for your child, this is the first thing that will be associated with him/her the moment he/she is born.

Gender names

Gender naming is another important issue. Think about if the name sounds like a boy’s name or a girl’s name. There are names that can go either way such as Sam, Erin or Angel.

Nicknames

When picking out a name, don’t forget that your child may end up being called by a nickname because of the name you have chosen. If this is something you don’t want, try picking a name that can’t be shortened. But don’t be surprised if it happens anyways. If you don’t mind, try picking out a name that’ll have a nickname you enjoy. Last but certainly not least, remember children can be cruel think about the initials your child will have. You don’t want something that it’s initials mean something else. You want your child to be proud of his/her name. Not everyone is going to like the name you have chosen for your child, but as long as it is something you like, your child will like it too.

Baby showers have been very popular and are one tradition that almost all mothers-to-be from almost all countries practice. Since baby shower is not only gift giving but also a social event. It is for this reason that some etiquette should be observed. These etiquettes may vary depending on your country but the following is the most common ones.

1. The best time to hold a baby shower is sometime before the birth. Usually, baby showers are held a month or two before the birth of the baby. Recently, some people practice holding the baby shower a month or two after the birth. Holding the party before the birth of the bay will give time for the mother to buy the items that were not given as gifts during the baby shower.

2. Traditionally, a close friend of the new mom hosts the baby party. Relatives and co-workers can also host the event.

3. Baby showers are not only for first-born babies but also for subsequent babies. Every pregnancy is a reason to celebrate, so there is nothing wrong to throw a baby shower to subsequent babies.

4. It is just proper to give gifts that are related to babies. Neutral colors can be picked for gifts so that it will relate to either a boy or girl. It is best to choose gifts that can be useful and something that a baby may need everyday like diapers, feeding bottles, bibs and baby blankets.

5. For the host, it is okay to have games to break the ice but it is not that required. Conversations, food and drinks are the thing that should be considered. It would also be a nice idea to have a book where the guests can write on their notes and messages to the new mom.

6. Usually, twenty people or more are invited but this will also depend on the number of people that can be accommodated in the venue. Sometimes, they hold a small number before the birth and larger group after the baby is born.

7. A baby shower is usually held during weekend since that is the most convenient day for the visitors and would normally last two to three hours. The time may be extended especially if everything is doing well.

8. The person hosting should shoulder the expenses on food and other things.

9. Ideally, the baby shower is held at the home of the person hosting the party. The new mom would be informed since a pregnant woman is not fit for surprises.

10. It is not necessary to have a special invitation printed. The host can buy stationeries or greeting cards with baby themes in bookstores. It will also be a good idea to have the invitations sent at least three weeks before the party. This will give enough time for guests to RSVP. Do not forget to include the directions.

11. A theme for the party is not that necessary but this adds life to a party. Wearing costumes and decorating the venue gives a happy and celebrating atmosphere.

12. It is only proper to welcome guests when they come and thank them when they leave. The host should always be present during the party and should be the one attending at the guests.

A pregnant woman, whether it is her first or third time to have a baby, would have a lot on her mind as she nears the date when she is about to give birth. Aside from the physical pains and emotional stress of her upcoming labor, she should have something else to think about. Throwing a baby shower is a great way to lighten her load.

Baby showers are often planned by the mother-to-be’s closest friend or any member of the family. Ideally, they are held anytime within the last 3 months of pregnancy. However, it still depends on the most convenient time for everybody, including the guests and family members. Some even hold baby showers after birth, which is an ideal time for the new member of the family to be introduced to the world.

A great way to start planning a baby shower is by preparing the invitations. These invitations can be hand-made, printed, even ordered online, depending on the person in charge of planning for the affair. Of course, mom-to-be’s would like to be involved in choosing the perfect theme for the baby shower, be it for a girl or a boy. Here are some great ideas to create baby shower invites to prepare for that oh-so-fun baby shower:

Create you own invitations. First, think of a theme for the party. Do you want to have a Disney-inspired baby shower? Or you might want to have an animal theme. Whatever motif you decide on, make sure that the invitations that you will send out will reflect the main theme. One specific idea is to attach the printed invitations to pacifiers or tie then with a ribbon and put them inside feeding bottles or powder puff canisters. Place them inside any baby accessory that you think will be useful. They can be in pink or blue, or both, if you do not know the baby’s gender yet. These items can even be brought to the party by the guest for the mother to use after she gives birth.

2-in-1 invitation ala give-away. You can print out the details of when and where the baby shower will be held and put them in mini-picture frames. These would make great invitations, and can be kept as after-party souvenirs. Make sure that the frames reflect the theme of the party as well.

Personalize your invites. A baby shower is not just a tribute to the boy or girl who is about to be born, but it also celebrates the joys and sacrifices of the mom-to-be. She is the one who deserves to have a break for taking care of the baby in her womb for the past months. You can think of ways to show the mother’s personality on the invitations that you will give out. One web site offers unique baby shower invitations, with names like “Polka Dot Mama”, “Hip Mama” and “Tummy Love”. You can also use the mom’s work, for example, as a party theme. If the mom-to-be dabbles in writing, you can use children’s books as invites, just stick a huge bookmark in it, where the details of the baby shower will be printed. For a mother who is a chef, or who just plain loves to cook, you can create mini-chef hats which can be made of cloth, paper or felt and just stick the invite in front.

Order the invitations online. If you are in a hurry and do not have the time to make the invitations yourself, you can order them online. There are a lot of web sites where you can view samples of baby shower invites. If you have not thought of a theme yet, you can also get great ideas from these web sites. You can even download ready-made invitations, just change the wordings and print out copies in specialized paper, then, voila, you now have your own personalized baby shower invites. There are hundreds of possibilities on how to create your special baby shower invitations. Just let your imagination run wild and you will surely come up with the perfect theme for that baby shower that is bound to be fun for everybody.

What comes to mind after hearing the four magical words, “We’re having a baby?” A baby shower, of course. Organizing a party with the expectant parents’ closest friends and family members is the perfect way of expressing “Congratulations,” or “We’re happy for you,” or “Best wishes.”

Aimed at further boosting the parents-to-be’s excitement for the future member of their family, the baby shower is usually hosted by a close friend or relative, at any time during the last months of the pregnancy.

Just like any other party, a baby shower requires careful planning to ensure that it will go as smoothly as possible, and be memorable for everyone. Although there are no rules cast in stone in preparing for a baby shower, there are some helpful tips to follow to help the host organize every aspect of the event.

1) Decide on the location.

Most baby showers are held at the parent-to-be’s house, since the expectant mother’s health needs to be considered. It is recommended for small, intimate parties, with only the closest friends and family members. Guests also tend to be more comfortable if the party’s setting is at home.

If the expectant parents love the outdoors, a barbecue party at their garden, or a local park may also be an option. Naturally, the weather must be considered – baby shower does not literally mean soaking the guests in the rain.

For less complications, the host may reserve a secluded area in a restaurant or bar. It may be more costly, but at least the decoration, food and drinks, as well as the post-party cleanup will already be taken care of.

2) Choose the party’s theme.

For easier decoration ideas, a theme may be decided upon. Consider the expectant parents’ favorite movies or hangouts. Another option is to decorate the party site by re-creating the place where they had their honeymoon, such as a cruise ship, or Paris-inspired café.

Since the party will also be a celebration of the future baby, a childish atmosphere may also be considered. Choose cartoon characters, bright colors, and other designs depending on the baby’s gender.

3) Finalize the menu.

The party’s menu will depend upon the time of the event. In most baby showers, the host serves finger food, pastries and other baked goods for convenience. However, if the event will be held during lunch or dinner time, heavier meals will naturally be served. Alcoholic drinks may also be prepared, depending on the guests’ preference.

4) Design a fun program.

Contrary to what most people believe, a baby shower is not only limited to mingling around, gift giving, eating and drinking. Fun games may also be included, such as charades, or those which will bring back the guests’ childhood memories. Remember that the main point is to make sure everyone will have a good time, and various games will surely liven up the event.

5) Create the guest list and send out invitations.

Prepare a list of the expectant parents’ closest friends and family members. Make sure to seek their approval before sending out invitations, to avoid any embarrassing mistakes later. Bear in mind that it’s the parents’ event, and not the host’s, so their choice of people should matter the most.

Ready-made baby shower invitations are readily available in gift shops and craft stores. However, homemade invitations may also be used to provide the host’s personal touch.

Send out invitations out two to four weeks before the party to give time for the guests to fix their schedule. Baby shower invitations follow the same format as any other invitation – it indicates the date, time, place, attire preferred, gift registry, if any, the host’s contact numbers for RSVP. Just to be organized, prepare a final list of attendees a few days before the baby shower.
